Good luck.. your V6 will live a short and unhappy life towing that rig
around.

My '99 4x4 w/3.55 gears, & 5.2L is rated to 5500# towing... I've towed about
4500# with it, and can say the added 500# PLUS the frontal area of the
trailer will be a serious chore for a 3.9L, and still a good workout for a
5.2L equipped like mine.

I'd look to get a better suited tow vehicle rather than ruin your existing
one.
