Phil & Scott & everyone else -
Head to http://www.sspinc.com/ - SSP, Inc. is the manufacturer of
SilBlades. These blades carry a 5-year warranty and are made of General
Electric Silicone rather than natural rubber. They are flexible to -80
F, are extremely heat-resistant (don't get sticky in the summer heat),
and "repel" water - H2O doesn't cling to it like it does rubber, so ice
doesn't build up on the blades, and they won't freeze to your
windshield.
Not sure if they have their secure online ordering set up yet (they had
an insecure form last I checked); If you order online, mention in the
Notes field that you're a DML (or "Dakota club") member (if you call
them, mention it to the person who takes your call). Normal price is
$10/blade, we have a $1/blade discount. I paid full price (before the
group buy) and don't regret it at all.
