There's also a spray that you can use to de-ice your windshield.
In this last Ice Storm, I was using the Rain-X Winshield Washer Fluid (with
Rain-X premixed in the fluid) and the ice and sleet didn't stick...let alone
turn to ice while driving. (The overnight rain took care of the icing
though.)

I saw something I had never seen before. When I shot my windshield with
washer fluid, I actually saw ice start to form from it!
I have generic blue washer fluid, the regular cheap stuff you can get
anywhere. And I haven't cut it with water, it's straight from the
bottle. Someone makes a de-icing fluid, don't they? Thinking about
draining my resevior and loading up with that.
