Tom says that after reading the businessweek article
he is going to sit down and wait awhile to see what
happens. If you own stock in DC you might want to
check further. The numbers arew going down rapidly.
My IRA is tied up heavily in about four companies.
And the DC stock is dropping fast. For me, if it
drops down below 28 1/4, I'm selling.
Being a union member, I hear all sorts of things
through published articles, that I don't agree with.
My companies biggest competition is two foundaries in
Mexico. We currently have one company, playing all of
us against each other. It's unbelieveable.
Yes both Daimler and Chrysler are at fault. But, the
American auto market is the key to improvements. This
is probably the biggest market. It would be a big
mistake for Daimler to throw to many wrenches in the
works. And I think they know that to a degree. But,
us Americans can be very ficle at times. I don't
think Daimler realized this when they made the merger.
This is not Germany or for that matter the rest of
the world.
