Steve,

When I first received my G-Tech, it took me several days to "get it right".
I've run it while at three different tracks...while doing an actual
run...the box was only showing .03 slower. I dial in my weight on the box
to the pound and set it before I do anything with it...HP, 0-60, and 1/4
mile is what I normally check so setting the weight before doing anything
with it is more a preparation than a requirement.

The GTech doesn't measure what in drag racing is called roll out.
It's basically the first 4-8inches of movement depending on diameter of
your front tire and the deepness of your staging.

GTech claims this roll out is generally less than a tenth. So, a GTech
will measure your 1/4 mile times about a tenth slower than your track
times. On the 5 runs I made at the track with a GTech I averaged .08
seconds slower with the GTech. Bernd said his avg was .03 slower. I can't
imagine the error ever exceeding about two tenths even in the slowest 31"
tired vehicle.

Weight is not an issue here for determining only time and speed. HP
estimates require a weight. I have never been to the scales, so I have
never entered a weight. I haven't made any changes since I've had the unit
so I had no reason to "make up" a number for before/after comparisons.
