I've had the same exact problem on my 97 for years (seems like a long time
ago already) 89 octane gas cures it. I'm ping free about 98% of the time
now . every once in a while hear a little prattle but it never stays. I
guess thats one way to tell if you're getting the extra octane you're
paying for.
Its disappointing to hear that four years later they still havent fixed
that problem from the factory!!
