The knob is standard, it's on every '01 that I've seen in parking &
dealer lots. I have heard that it's possible to get a floor-mount lever
if you ask real, real nice.

Pete Cutler told us about "the knob" when we first discovered it. I
think it just activates a servo motor that does exactly what pulling the
lever does, no massive changes to the t-case compared to what's in a
pre-'01.
