Yep, You're right James, I've had mine on the dyno multiple times, and have
reported to the list before that the 4.7L makes gobs of torque down low, and
that power falls sharply after about 5500 rpms. My 4.7L is putting out close
to 300 ft lbs to the rear wheels at 3200 rpms, which is just as low an rpm as
most 5.9's, and damn near as much TQ. Peak HP, 216+, is pretty steady between
4000 and 5000. This makes for one helluva strong engine, down low, or up top!

I would have to disagree. The 4.7L makes lots of low end and tapers off quite
rapidly in the upper rpms (doesn't pull very strong). Just because it can
rev to 6000 rpms doesn't mean it makes much power up there :)
