Not power wise but in the gearing were the Toyota had to composite for the
lack of torque. Is it a TRUCK or CAR. This is were most Asian Manufacturer
seemed to bite it. Now since the 3.9 is leaving us and the 3.7 hemi is
coming, that Tacoma will find it even harder. May have to change the 4.32
gears for 5.12 Geo Tracker gears.

I'll probably get massacred for this but here it goes.
I read the Sport Truck of the year article. I too was under impressed by
the super charged V6 Nissan was bragging about. But the V6 Tacoma was
impressive. It was an auto and did high 16's. It also did best in slalom,
skid pad, gas mileage (20mpg) and breaking. Yes a V8 Dak will still kick
it's ars, but 3.9ers beware.
