I did a section between Pendleton and John Day last summer. It's an
amazing resource for us outdoor enthusiasts. You get to combine so many
great things to do in one trip; 4wheeling, camping, fishing, epic
vistas, and the road trip itself. Next summer I plan on doing a section
in the High Desert near Christmas Valley. I'd love to do the whole thing
some time, probably could be done in ten days or so. I'd want to have
several vehicles though, last summer we had 3 and we all got into
trouble more than once. I don't remember who started this thread but I'd
love to run along with ya, and your certainly welcome to do the
Christmas Valley section with us. Definitely not enough DML get-together
opportunities out here in the Pacific NW.
