Re: Pinging 5.9 engines?

The pinging phenomenon seems to cut across the entire line of engines, V6 or
V8 makes little difference. Here's a link to a series of Technical Service
Bulletins:

http://www.ecpe.vt.edu/%7Edfritz/technical/Gas/Trouble/Problems.htm

I have also seen complaints about pinging on the V10's in the Dodge Ram
list. I haven't kept up with the pinging complaints on the 4.7 though so
you'll have to poke around and do some searching on your own.

Regards, Mike Klinke
