Over two years ago, I totally destroyed a 15 point
buck with my Dak. In doing this the front end was
severely damaged. The body shop that did the repair
work, had to replace nearly everything that you can
replace on the front face. As well as, realigning my
front clip. So on to my dilemma. When they replaced
the front bumper; it looks like they just ordered any
thing that they could get cheaply. Since it came flat
black in color, they just bolted it back into place.
So, now guess what? That's right. RUST! Since the
past few weeks has been cold and icey, the salt output
on the roads has been excessive. From what I can tell
is that my replaced front bumper was originally
painted with a flat black or a dark gray primer. And
was not repainted. Now to my question; Does anyone no
of a place that I can get a bumper cover or another
bumper for my Gen II? I'm going to check a few places
today and since I'm going to the Cavalcade of Customs
in Cincinnati, I'm going to check with a few sources
over there. Since, I'm going to replace, rather than
repaint, I will be looking into a custom piece. Maybe
with driving/fog light holes cut into it. Let me know
what you all think!
