I am also a dyed-in-the-wool,card-carrying member of
the Mopar faith.I have a 73 Cuda and Challenger in the
garage,my first car was a 74 318 Duster,plus I`ve had
a 93 Intrepid and 87 LeBaron turbo,and I`m only 32!! I
have had two non-Mopars,but they didn`t stick around
long.Just had to be able to tell people: Ahem, yes,I
HAVE owned that brand of vehicle before, but found it
to be substandard! Mopars are the only vehicles that
evoke any emotion in me,really.Daks in particular, are
the only truck that look this good, and give you that
feeling when you`re behind the wheel.Just like being
inside an E-body.THAT is what bothers me about the
aquisition by Daimler.AS for the inconsistent
performance, that does bother me some.If I was to go
with the V8 throttlebody and cat-back exhaust (true
dual exhaust if I have another cat fail on me and
cause me intermittent grief for ten months),then maybe
those running-like-a-dog times will be brought up to a
more tolerable level. But I would like to know the
CAUSE of the inconsistency as well.Very noticeable on
hills,especially. Steve P. --- Hemipower@aol.com
