Unless you have the full-time transfer case, do NOT run in 4x4 on dry
pavement (or dry solid rock, or dry any hard, solid surface). You'll
wreck your t-case, and maybe more. And, when acclerating hard, it'll
just be magnified; Whatever the weakest link in the drivetrain is, it'll
break much, much faster.
