Hi Jeff,

    I'm quite sure that when I drove off in my new '99 Dak, the dealer had
35 psi in both the front and rear tires (2wd). It wasn't too long before I
decreased the rear tires to 25-26 psi. The lower pressure made a huge
difference in controlling the bump steer. Gas mileage stayed the same and
tire wear is normal. Hope this helps ;-)
