Even if you could find someone to do it, it would be cost prohibitive. The
wiring harness alone is $300. That doesn't include any overhead parts.

Subject: DML: Retrofit Trip Computer into Vehicle not Originally
Equipped?

I've got a pie-in-the-sky question here. Does anyone think it is possible
to retrofit the overhead console mounted trip computer into a 2000 Dakota QC
not originally equipped with one? As modular as cars are these days, it
seems like it *could* be a matter of physically mounting it, running the
wires and finding the corresponding connectors under the hood or dash.

I guess I've got a little buyer's remorse from not specifying the computer
when we ordered the truck.

Thanks,
