1/The pressure it the radiator is controlled by the radiator cap ( they have
a psi rating on them ie:14-17psi ) they can stick if they have crud on them
in any case don't put a new radiator in without changing the cap thermostat
and flushing the overflow, stop leak can also cause a cap to stick

2/super-heating can do allot of damage, warped heads or intake, ring and
bearing damage is possible , my advice is to change the oil and filter start
it and hope for the best. watch the oil pressure for a while I have seen oil
break down and the viscosity modifiers turn to plastic plugging the oil
pickup and several other oil passages.this is worst case and I don't think
you got it this hot if it still ran and restarted, good luck.
