There was a small but nice turnout at the SoCal SpeedZone yesterday. 9
Dakotas and 1 Ram. Bill Boggz gets the long distance award coming from
Vegas. We all had a blast. The two RT guys Jim and Scott got the
prizes for low ET on the dragsters and low laptime in the Grand prix
cars. All was quiet and fun until they opened up the Slick Trac again.
We all got in a race and it turned out to be a version of hit anything
that moves! Everyone was into the wall at least once!!! Thank god for
the good Deist harnesses in those karts! On our first race, we thought
they were going to black flag all of us for using each other to bounce
off into the turns! It was a blast!!! We went again, but not as much
fun the second time. Afterwards, we went to Frisco's for dinner and had
even more fun!
The next run will be on February 17th. Mark your calendars! Also March
18th is the Shamrock Showdown at Friscos in City of Industry. They have
special classes for Dakotas (mid sized truck). Should be a huge meet!!
