Chuck,
I have Carware gauges (through a SmokinDakota group buy last summer -
see http://www.smokindakota.com/shop/images/white_dash.jpg ).
Basically, the colored areas glow that color (actually a little closer
to teal) with the lights on, and some light kinda radiates out from the
holes where the needle pegs come up.
Not much help, I know. When my father's out here in a little under 2
weeks I'll grab a shot or 2 with his digital camera and post them.
There are a couple other "styles," including Indiglo. Some have only
white in the area swept by the needles.
