Subject: DML: COMPUTER QUESTION (OFF LIST)
Can someone answer this? If I order something on a
secure link with a
credit card and the order was acknowledged with a return
e-mail. On this
return e-mail the full credit card number and all other
information was
returned to me over AOL, Was the return acknowledgment
returned encrypted or
not? Or is it out there on the net non-encrypted now.
I suspect the acknowledgment was computer generated.
Internet Explorer
has 128 bit encryption but I don't think it went thru IE
before it hit my
screen. I need to know before I call this company and raise
hell with them.
Thanx, Bill
