The suspension designs are totally different between the '93 and your '98.
I'd go back and have them correctly align your front end. Or take it to a
different NTB if you don't trust them.

Subject: DML: Alignment done at NTB on Dakota

Any feedback on my comments below is appreciated.
I just bought 4 tires at NTB, and they checked the
alignment....said I need
it, and showed me a printout. I don't know
anything about alignments, but
here's what they said, and printout shows....

Only did front left wheel. Adjusted camber from .1
to .2 (although the
correct range includes both of those, since the range
is 0 to 1).
Adjusted toe from .14 to .06. (It was out of range
before).

They didn't adjust caster's on any wheel, although the
printout shows it's out
of range on the 2 front wheels (shows 4.5, when the
correct range is 0.5 to
2.5). They told me that it shouldn't be adjusted,
but i didn't hear the
reason.

For this they charged me the full price--$55.

One concern I have is whether the ranges are correct.
  After they give me
the truck back and gave me the receipt, I noticed that
they incorrectly wrote
down that I had a 93 dakota, instead of 98. And the
alignment printout shows
93 at the top, and I would think the "correct ranges"
are based on that.
Should they re-do it using the correct year?

When I was leaving and noticed that they had written
the wrong year, I showed
it to the guy at the front desk, and we just crossed
out the year with a pen
and wrote in 98. He didn't mention anything about
the alignment results, and
I didn't think to ask at the time....when i got home i
realized that the
results might be based on the year. So i wonder if
should go back.

I wonder whether i actually needed an alignment
anyway. Truck didn't pull to
one side or anything. But tires were worn out on
the edges (although i did
rotate them.....though i heard goodyear invictas do
that anyway).
