Ron,

I just want to eliminate the worry of having my Dak stalling out in traffic.
Which it did once.

As far as the battery goes I haven't tested it but the dot on the top is
still green. Not much info about the battery here. The coil is stock, the
wires are stock. Although I had to replace the driver side rear plug wire
when I swapped in the 3923's as the original wire wouldn't come off and I
ended up pulling it out of the boot. Replace it with a cheap one from a $10
set as I was planning to go with a 8.5mm set. I now have a set of the
Magnecor 8.5mm in my garage along with a Brass distributor cap and rotor
that has yet to be installed. The MAP, TPS, and O2 sensors are original.
The IAC was replaced. I pulled one of the 3923's out 2 weeks ago and they
looked clean. When I took the QuickD TB off 2 weeks ago everything looked
fine physically.

Hmmm...trying to stump me, I see....almost time for King Bernd here. Check
battery, coil...replacing secondary wires wouldn't hurt, though I find it
highly unlikely that would be the culprit. Check MAP, TPS, (you already did
IAC, right?), O2 sensors. How'd you say the plugs were?

Ron,

I ran a bottle of the Gumount fuel injector cleaner in my gas one refill
ago. My fan spins when I start it up the first time in the morning with the
outdoor temperature around 30 degrees.

First, I wouldn't go back to your mysterious dealer who should be in the
fiction writing business not a car dealer. Second, try a quick fix. Run
your gas down to ¼ tank, put in a bottle of Chevron Pro-Gard Fuel Injector
Cleaner, add 12 gallons of gas and drive it back down to a ¼ tank before
refilling and see if that does anything for you. 600-650 rpm is the correct
idle. Your fan clutch is ambient temperature activated. When you shut off
your truck the ambient temperature under the hood rises, sometimes setting
the switch to engage the fan so the next time you start the truck the fan
engages until the PCM receives a signal from the ambient temp sensor to
disengage the fan. The electric fan cycles on and off based on the AC unit.

Good luck,
