Wes I am a repair shop and from the labor side of it it doesn't pay to take
one apart to fix it. Years ago when the axel cost $100 to $200 or more it
was different. Today I can buy the axel for less than the two kits it should
get.If the boot is torn you can be sure dirt and water have gotten in there
so you have to take it all apart and clean and repack it. Don't think about
the QUICK BOOT as they are a poor bandage. Maybe if I had to get home and
didn't want the mess from the greese flying around for a few hundred miles
but they don't last.
Check out the "discount" parts stores
GEORGE!!
