What's he charging you per tire? He is correct in that BFG has set a
price point and you will see very little variation between shops. This
is why you can't even get REVIEWS on the tires at tirerack.com But
$839!? He's bending you right over! I paid $491 at BJ's, $104 each for
the rubber and $10 each for mounting, balancing, lifetime rotation, etc.
(didn't get the spare yet). The other place I checked wanted $118 each,
and they do all the other services "free." I got 31x10.5R15, the 16"
might be a little more, but this seems excessive.
