Excellent Info on batteries. I have a few comments. As far as keeping the
reciept it is best to keep it. I work at Auto Zone and if the battery is not
found in the persons warranty file on the computer and they don't have a
recipt the warrenty is void. The warranty is valid for the original
purchaser of the battery only. People will often try to screw us by coming
in with a battery they didn't buy and try to get a new battery and it ain't
going to happen. I definently recommed getting the biggest battery you can
afford. Auto Zone sells 4 brands of batterys. The top of the line is the
Duralast Gold for $69, They have a 3 year free replacement and 8 year
prorated. The next is Duralast for $49 they have 2 year free replacement and
7 year prorated. The next is the Auto Zone brand for $39 they have 1 year
free replacement and 6 year prorated. The worst battery we sell is the
Econocraft for 29-31. THEY ARE A PIECE OF CRAP. 3 month free replacement and
3 year prorated. They are referred to as EconoCRAP. The more expensive the
battery the more cranking amps it will have. If your truck's original
battery has 650 Cold Cranking amps DO NOT get a battery with less than that.
And it's helpfull to get the battery washers that go around the post to
prevent corrosion, they're only $.99. Well that's my sale pitch. Anyway.
hope this helps some people.

Daniel
