Well Think about it a msd box. will spark the plug 5 or 6 times. a stock set up will hit 1 or 2. I also belive that you are getting a higher voltage across the gap. So you are send more voltage to the plug. So you will burn up plug wires caps and rotors more offten. So if a stock cap lasts 60,000 miles and you replace every thing and add a MSD box you will most likely only get 20,000 miles because of the increase in voltage and the number that it fires.
