You 'da man! Thanks for taking the time to explain that to me.
I knew about vacuum assist 4wd systems, but not specifically how
they worked and that they were actually an axle disconnect
system. (I drove a 4x4 S10 for the USFS for a summer and it had
a vacuum system that kept malfunctioning--what a POS that thing
was!) Thanks again!
