My dealer tore my rear apart, checked everything and
gave it a clean bill of health. Their solution was a
note on the work order that they were (paraphrasing)
coming up with some sort of insulation to block out
the noise.
Mine is loud enough that if the radio is turned up to
where you can maintain a conversation, you can still
hear the whine. It may be me, but I think it's been
getting louder lately.
