Hey Guys, is there any way to check an alternator to see if it's dead or
not? On my buddy's vehicle, he hooked up a big amp. Then we suspected a
short, so we unhooked it. No short was found. So we started his car and his
lights were dimmed and everything seemed to run without too much power. we
went around the block 4 times, when we got back the car died... at which
point the car was dead to the world, just clicking when turning the
ignition. So then a few days later we decide to look at the car again. I
turn the key... it fires up... I go around the block and it dies. Does this
seem like a bad alternator? Thanks
