Kyle,
I changed the water pump on mine over the weekend while doing the timing
chain. I removed the pipe you're talking about with the help of heat. I
put it in the new pump with the o-ring and some stuff called Indian Head
Gasket Shelac....I think it's made by permatex. I've never had anything
leak using this stuff, but I have yet to test it on this application due to
frigging up the crank threads.:(
