For those of you who say nascar is at fault because of the new rules
package. Especailly the guy who said Tony stewarts crash was a result of the
new package
I have some questions for you.
How long have you been watching Nascar ? It can't be too long
Or you forgot Dale Jr Rolling his bush car. Earnhardt Sr rolling his car a
few years ago. The multiple flips that Rusty Wallace has done. The 23 car
pile up at talladega a few years ago when Gordon blew a tire. These were all
before the newest rule changes.
I agree with Rousch, I'd like to see smaller engines. I'm not 100% sure what
the answer is. you can;'t let them go unrestricted or they'd be going 220
mph. I remember when every superspeedway would have multiple cars roll
(Before Roof Flaps). I personally don't like superspeedway racing. I don't
like the idea that you can't make a pass unless someone else helps you. The
only thing the rules change did was allow for easier passing. Can you tell
me that in last years daytona, they didn't run nose to tail ? they did, they
just couldn't pass. remember when Earnhardt last year (I think) gained all
those positions by going up the middle and when they asked him how he did
it, he said "I saw the air " Everyone knows superspeedways are close racing
and it's the most dangerous. Did anyone watch the busch race, they run the
old aero package and they had very close racing, just not as much passing,
but they ran two and three wide all day. Yes I believe nascar should
investigate more safety equipment. As far as mandating the HANS device, I
don't know. Dale was interviewed and asked if he was going to wear one and
he said he didn't like it, wasn't comfortable with it and wouldn't wear it.
I personally think all these people should stop building superspeedways and
build a few more Bristol's and Martinsvilles. I was not an Earnhardt fan,
but I respected him and I think it's a great loss to NASCAR and the man died
doing what he loved. Let's all face it, it's one of those racing deals, yes,
it's a bad one.
that's the end of my rant
Nick
