I know someone that thinks they have a 318 4.7L too, however, the 4.7L did
replace the 5.2 for Dodge in 2000 but I used to sale Dodge and you can still
find some 2000 model Rams and Daks with the 5.2 in them, these engines were
left overs from the previous year and Dodge didn't want them to go to waste.
The 5.2 was mainly found in Rams and only in the early 2000 years, as the
year progressed I saw fewer and fewer 5.2L's left on the lot. I thought at
first it was a misprint on the sticker but checked the engine bay and only an
idiot could confuse the 5.2 with the 4.7 and so then I started my own
investigation and that's what I found out.
