Engine is a 5.2L PRe-Magnum engine.. standard LA-V8... Throttle body
fuel injected (like order Chebys) Horsepower is in the 165 range, or
a little less than a magnum V6.
You can do a lot of mods to the LA V8 though, the problem is getting it
to work with the computer and throttle body (only 2 injectors in the
intake-- a carb. switch would make the difference).
The tranny is more than likely a A-500 (not a stronger A-518)... so adding
a lot of power to the LA might be a problem with a A-500 trans.
