I put a 180 thermostat in my 92 V6 about 6 years ago. If anything the truck runs
alittle better. I doesn't ping. I have 3923 plugs in it now. It didn't ping when
I ran the stock heat range plugs either. The computers in the Magnum engines are
programed to run at about 180 degrees. The stock 195 is for emissions. I live in
upstate NY and never had any problem warming the cab of my CC with the 180
degree stat.
