Now Bernd, why do we need that stuff??? We're already quicker than those old V-8s anyway. hee heee!!!
Dave Hughes is working on the cams, heads, and intake!
But seriuosly, I'm approaching 13's with out any of those things, you just need to trade that ole 6 banger in for a V-8, Bernd, a 287 cube V-8. Keep the 5spd though!! heeeeeeeeeee hee heeee!!

I agree. And where do you get aftermarket cams, heads, intakes, and such
for the 4.7's? ;)

If I had to do it all over again I would go with the 5.9. Not because I
dont like the 4.7 motor (I think it has alot of potential). I wouldnt trust
the 45RFE tranny if I was towing. And gas mileage isnt a concern, I dont
think I get any better gas mileage than those with the 5.9.
