Curt, I can run any octane with the 5 degree advance. I have experimented with 87, 89, and 92, and there is absolutley no pinging to be heard. (notice i say heard)
Ron, these are not the typical LA engines, the 4.7L has some seriuos timing retard from the factory, it will take 5 degrees easy, and I feel like it will take even more running 92 only!! I can run 87 octane all day, hot weather with no problem!!

I sent my original PCM to Leach, I'm not sure if a new PCM will work or not?? You'd need to get the dealer to flash in the VIN just like you would with a Mopar unit if you can use a new PCM.
Thats the advantage to having your factory unit programmed.Your VIN, and mileage stay in there. If you are not satisfied with Leach's work, they'll put it back stock and refund your money. I may send mine back and get more advance.

to pick up a new PCM to have programmed so it could be swapped back and

for that kind of swapping?

Thanks.
