My opinion is that plastic is better as it doesn't conduct heat
as easily and therefore keeps your incoming air as cool as
possible. If you're concerned about it melting, buy some Cool
Tape from DEI and wrap it with that. Gives it nice metallic
finish, too. Just my $.02.
