Though you'd like to know,

I ran down to San Diego to do one of their autoX practices. I had to get a
points card to race, got # 287! woohoo. Anyways, they made a very fast long
course. It was definitely a horse power course. The cars down there seemed
to be a lot more exotic, not much stock stuff there. I saw a viper, a
Griffith, a prowler, several corvettes (one cool 1950something) and
Porsches. Fastest times were turned in by a modded Corvette at about 68-69
sec. Lightly modded ZX's were coming in at 75 to 78, miatia's at around 78,
BMW sport models at 81-85, DSP stuff around 85, and stockers around 88. I
was mostly impressed by one lil' Saturn I saw doing 82 on stock tires and a
V6 sounding exhaust (it's a 2.0L 4cyl). There were two extremes there, both
did about the same. They started at 90 sec and got slowly faster to about
84.

My times
Run Time
1 84.859
2 83.742
3 82.213
4 81.774
5 82.009
6 81.902
7 82.008
8 81.036

Cooked my tires. One area had stretched out shikanes (sp?), WOT for about
10 sec, had to have hit 60mph, 4wheel drift though each turn. Fun, fun, FUN.
Not too bad for a crooked truck, eh.

I'll try to come out and watch the El Toro practice, but no promises. I
will be at the Sunday Championship though.

I'll be in Houston starting tomorrow until Saturday, be safe ya'all.
