I've done this on my 5.2L- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD TIMMING PROCEDURE! Do
NOT trust the Haynes manual procedure, if that is what you have. Definately
invest in the factory manual! You'll have to remove the intake, water pump,
water pump base/ timing chain cover, radiator/ front grill, distributor,
obviously the valve covers, etc. (Follow the factory manual!). The heads do
not need to be removed. Rent a pressure washer to THOROUGHLY clean the engine
compartment before starting (obviously-remove the battery before washing,
protect the computer wiring, and remove the computer). Seriously consider
replacing the distributor tower bearing in the engine block at this time!
Camshaft break-in lube frequently destroys older tower bearings, resulting in
backfiring/ afterfiring, and other rather nasty ignition quirks. Good luck,
and FOLLOW THE FACTORY MANUAL!!

p.s.- If you're thinking about supercharging, AVOID PAXTON AT ALL COSTS!
