Yeah, I stopped by the dealer I bought the truck from and made an appt. for
Thursday morning. I drove a 4.7 5-spd 3.55 RC while there and it was quiet as
a mouse, too. I guess I got used to my gear whine and didn't realize it was a
problem until 5th joined in on the chorus. They said that they'll likely drop
it and replace it. I'd think it would be a 1 day job, but lord knows how long
an NV3500 will take getting here. Maybe I can request a 4500 from a Ram...

My NV3500 is as quiet as a mouse but I have that rear end whine when you
let off the gas. Did it from day one. I'm going to put Redline in the rear to
see if it'll stop it. I've heard it would. Going to find out in the next
