Wouldn't he have tied that in with the ignition circuit so the CD player
wouldn't work unless the ignition was turned on? Sounds like a big fat
short to me.

Subject: DML: Dakota Blowing Ignition Fuses...

I have a 1991 Dodge Dakota, 4x4 with the 318 V-8. I
was on my way to work a couple of weeks ago, when the
engine just died. I am blowing the ignition fuse
under the hood. It blows when I try to start it, in
the crank position. Is this a common problem, or do I
have to trace the wires? Where do I start? Also, is
it just a coincidence that my buddy hooked up a CD
player in the truck that day on the way to work?
Wouldnt a fuse blow before it did any damage? Let me
know what you guys think. Thanks!

Later,
-Derek
