Hey, DML!
I built my Po-boy intake with a piece of ABS or maybe PVC. I couldn't I.D.
it cuz it had been layin around in my garage basement for at least the 16
years that I've owned this house. It fit the Intimidator filter perfectly, &
it also fit into the OEM"accordion" (as Bernd describes it).My question to
you DAKsperts is:
Am I losing something in the process by creating turbulence in the air flow
by using the OEM "accordion?" Should I change it & go for an ABS 90 Degree
elbow & buy a length of what I know is ABS pipe? The po-boy seemed to add
power when I installed it, & I felt that power again last month, when I
pulled the filter & blew it out with my compressor. Now that I've installed
the Quick D TB, should I redo the intake for a smoother airflow?
You guys throw around so many facts & figures, that my old fried brain (
teenager in the 60's) can't put it all together & make sense of it. I never
planned on racing the DAKSY, but I do want her to run as good as her
"anemic" V-6 can.
TIA!
