John,
I installed the fan horizontally with the thermostat
knob on the drivers side. I used the brackets included
and also fabbed up some to bolt to where the stock
shroud bolted on. The a/c wire on mine is blue. Its on
the drivers side of the intake manifold by the
injectors. There is a pretty good write up in the
archives, dated Feb 99 I believe by Bernd. If you have
any questions feel free to ask.
