Use the ground side for the ON/OFF signal. I totally forgot which wire it
is, but I think it was the white one from the Hayden. Dbl-check your
instructions though.

Subject: DML: Hayden fan question

I would like to install a light in my interior that lights when my
Hayden electric fan is running, but I am unsure which wire from the relay to
tie into though. Would I tie into the positive lead from the fan (which is
connected to the orange & blue wires from the relay)? Also would I have to
tie into the ground from the fan/relay or could I just use a chassis ground?

Thanks,
