  Yep; my '96 has about 76,000 on it now, and I've run Mobil 1 ever since
10,000 miles. Its *always* come out black. Several of those oil changes were
sent to Blackstone for analysis, and they've never found any problems. The
only time I've seen gold oil come out of an engine is that one time when I
forgot to install the drain plug on my VR-4 before filling it back up. :-)
(Used Mobil 1 exclusively in that too, and after emptying a couple of $4+
quarts onto the driveway, I never forgot to re-install the drain plug again!)
