I've run just about every beta out there for just about anything you can
think of. Never had any real problem with any of them. Did you put 98se
back on it and it worked fine or what?

I expect a beta that's shipped to me to at least BOOT - the one I got
wouldn't get past the splash screen on the first boot after install.
And this wasn't exactly "exotic" hardware - just a Dell P3.
