OK, guys, I guess the news isn't as good as I wanted it to be. I talked
to someone at Abbott Enterprises and they said they could get $5 off the
$145 price if we had 10 buyers. So far only 5 people responded, so
that makes 6 possible buyers including myself. It's not much of a
discount, but it's something. Their unit is still about $20 than the
unit I found from Super Lift. The rep did stress that if the unit
didn't work, there would be a 100% refund.
The other issue is that the rep told me that they had problems with the
unit working on a 2001 Ram with 4 wheel ABS, she said this is probably
due to the fact that the 2001 Ram had ABS speed sensors at each wheel as
opposed to the ABS speed sensors at the tranny. The unit does work for
older Dakotas but 2000+ seems to be where there may be more problems.
My truck is a 2001 with 4 wheel ABS, so I'll try and find out how the
ABS is set up on my truck. I'm thinking because the discount isn't that
great and I didn't get a big response, it won't be worth it to do a
group buy. But if I get one, I'll share my findings with you. Thanks.

BTW, I did find another product made by Dakota Digital that does the
same thing, but their product states it is not for use with ABS
vehicles. So maybe this would be a solution for older Daks without any
ABS. This product is listed at only $79.
