Check the pipe diameters running from before the catalytic, catalytic to
muffler and after the muffler. On my 93 Dak the before catalytic pipe was
3", the catalytic to muffler pipe was 3" and the after muffler pipe was 2
1/4". Therefore to maximize the effect of a better flowing muffler I would
have had to run 3" pipe after the muffler. Which meant that the 3" cat-back
solution really was the better way to go.
