RE: oil pressure gauge problems

It probably is a gauge problem but I'd get it checked because zero oil
pressure is something to be concerned about, even for a little while.

Subject: DML: oil pressure gauge problems

Hi,

My oil pressure gauge has been acting funny for the last few days. It'll
show normal oil pressure, until I come to a stop or have the clutch released
and am coming to a stop (i.e. idle), then the pressure gauge will drop to
zero and the "check gauges" light comes on. If I wait about 5 seconds, or
give it a little gas, the gauge goes back up where it should be and the
light goes off. This is an intermittent problem, which makes me think I have
a faulty gauge, sending unit, or wiring harness. If there was a problem with
my engine, then it would have no oil pressure all the time, not just
sometimes, right?
