The stock 265/70/16 tires measure 10.43" wide,30.61" overall height, and an
overall circumference of 96.15". The 285/75/16's would measure 11.22" wide,
32.83" overall height, and 103.14" in circumference. I would venture to say
that yes, they would fit, but I would also bet that there would be some
rubbing at full steering lock and hard suspension compression. Might get
away with it if you crank the t-bars up, but I'd still stick with either
265/70/16's or 265/75/16's, or something else that's real close(like a
31/10.5/15 on 15" rims!) simply becuase of the computer controlled
CABS/speedomoter/odometer issues.
